Communication to pension scheme members
Face-to-face communication
Our experience has shown that face-to-face communication is one of the most powerful tools for building knowledge and understanding. We can offer individual member surgeries to explain how the scheme operates and the options available. Used as part of an ongoing programme, surgeries can be made available for all employees at a surprisingly low cost that is easily offset by the increased understanding and value placed on the benefits by your employees.
Modelling tools
To help understanding and to enable members to make more informed decisions, we often use modelling tools to show the level of expected benefits at retirement, the impact of State benefits and to illustrate any need for additional savings. The ability to run the models using different assumptions provides a useful platform to build member understanding of the possible impact of different investment strategies and the risks involved, and enables them to make more informed decisions on investment strategy.
Online tools
Accessibility of information is the key, so we’ve developed a suite of online tools for your employees:
- member- and scheme-specific online booklets
- modelling tools to enable members to take a range of ‘what if’ tests
- online link to the administration team so members can easily advise of any changes
Written communication
We have a dedicated communications team who are able to give hands-on assistance and specialist advice to help improve the quality of your communications. This promotes a greater level of employee understanding, education and engagement can be achieved.
